Alexander Koller / GER

Alexander is a BinG! Certified Coach and has been a Musicality Judge in the American Barbershop Harmony Society since 2023. He has been an enthusiastic barbershopper for fifteen years, when he sang in the Big Apple Chorus during a one-year stay in New York. Since then he has sung in several German quartets and was the founder of the European Harmony Brigade. Alexander has taught and coached at several events in Germany, the USA and the Netherlands, including the Virtual Harmony University and the European Quartet School. His coaching sessions are mostly about how to get music moving and how to get the musical details out of an arrangement. He is looking forward to working with you and to many tags at Afterglow!

Rob Mance / USA

Robert Mance has been the artistic director of BHS medalist chorus Central Standard since 2011. In 2016, Robert became the founding artistic director of SAI international chorus competor Vocal Standard. Robert has completed the coursework for a doctoral degree in choral conducting at the University of Kansas. He most recently served as Director of Music at Shawnee Presbyterian Church where he also maintained a private voice studio. Now, he spends the rest of his week as a full time coach of choruses and quartets. Robert previously served as interim Director of Choral Activities and interim Voice Area Director at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO. Robert has also sung professionally with such groups as the Kansas City Chorale and the Westminster Symphonic Choir and Westminster Choir. He is an active clinician for high school vocal ensembles, maintains a recording studio, and serves as a BHS judge in the singing category (2016-present), and formerly in the music category (2001-2016). Robert completed his undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, in voice performance, and completed his graduate studies at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, in choral conducting and voice pedagogy.

Clay Monson / USA

Clay Monson is a dedicated and accomplished musician with a passion for barbershop harmony. As a proud 10-year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Clay has made significant contributions to the world of Barbershop through his judging and coaching. His talent and commitment have led him to perform as part of various international choruses on four occasions, showcasing his exceptional ability to connect with and entertain audiences on a global stage. Currently, Clay serves as a singer and Performance Coordinator for Parkside Harmony, where he continues to inspire audiences with his captivating performances. In addition to his musical pursuits, Clay brings a wealth of experience in education, with 15 years of teaching English Language Arts and over 3 years as a full-time Instructional Coach. Through his multifaceted career, Clay has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the arts and education, leaving a lasting impact on all those he encounters.

Amy Patterson / CAN

Amy Patterson is the Associate Director of A Cappella Showcase, and is Co-Lead‬ Section Leader with Harbourtown Sound. Amy sings Bass in Sapphire quartet, who‬‭ placed 2nd in their first area contest in 2024. She is a certified Singing Judge and the‬ Singing Category Specialist in Harmony, Incorporated, and travels throughout Canada‬ and the US as a judge and coach. Amy has served on the faculties for Harmony College‬ West (Ontario), HIVE (Harmony Inc Virtual Education), and Harmony University (New‬ Orleans, LA). Her most recent project is as a Musical Director in Young Voices, instilling‬ young lives with the joy of singing.‬

‭When not singing or coaching, Amy is an educator in the Waterloo District School Board‬ specializing in French Language Instruction and Music.‬

Andrew Rembecki / GER

Andrew Rembecki is a dedicated music educator, vocal instructor, choir director, and coach with extensive experience in choral education and performance. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, he has been residing in Munich, Germany, for the past six years. Currently, he serves as the Director of Herrenbesuch, a prominent men’s barbershop chorus in Munich.

Andrew holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University. He has spent six years teaching choir in the public school system, fostering a passion for music among his students. Previously, he was the Associate Director of Central Standard, where he contributed to the chorus's achievement of the 2016 Barbershop Harmony Society Silver Medal. With over 20 years of experience in barbershop singing, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work in music education and performance.

Stefanie Schmidt / GER

Stefanie has been active in barbershop for 15 years as a quartet singer and director. She is co-organiser and graduate of the BinG! Coaching Certification Program, in which barbershop coaches are trained for the BinG! ensembles and is herself a popular coach for German and international ensembles. Since 2023 Stefanie is the first person in Europe to be a certified judge of the Barbershop Harmony Society in the performance category. Stefanie's great passion is all aspects of human communication. As a coach, she focuses particularly on helping ensembles to perform individually and authentically and to harness the natural expressiveness of singing.

Jordan Travis / CAN

Jordan is Founder and Artistic Director of Voices Music Collective, and a dynamic force in the Halton/Hamilton music scene. With an unwavering passion for vocal music and education, Jordan has inspired countless singers and ensembles both locally and internationally. His expertise has taken him around the world, where he's led impactful workshops, coaching sessions, and performances at renowned institutions such as BinG Harmony CollegeBABS Music Director's AcademyHarmony College HollandAssociation of British Choral Directors, and the Barbershop Harmony Society's Harmony University. Jordan's commitment to sharing the joy of music has left a lasting legacy, energizing the world of choral music with his boundless creativity and leadership.

Dan Wessler / USA



Dan Wessler holds a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Choral Conducting and Literature from University of Colorado Boulder (’23) and a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from Western Illinois University (’12). He serves on the adjunct faculties of Concordia University Irvine and North Orange County Community College. In addition, Dan is currently the director of the Los Angeles-based Westminster Chorus (www.westminsterchorus.org), the five-time International Barbershop Chorus Champion and 2009 Choir of the World winner. Dan also sings with After Hours (www.afterhoursqt.com), the 2018 International Barbershop Quartet Champion, with whom he travels and sings frequently, inside and outside of the United States. He has served as clinician for several barbershop chorus festivals, taught courses at international barbershop educational events, and is an active barbershop arranger (www.dwarrangements.com). Dan has written over 200 arrangements for various groups around the world, a number of which have been published by Hal Leonard. He also serves as a certified Musicality judge for the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Contest and Judging system.
